Federal Education COVID Response Funding

Since March 2020, New York State has been awarded over $14 billion in federal education COVID response funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act; Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA Act); and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. These funds are supporting the ability of local educational agencies (LEAs) to address the impact that Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ) has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools in New York State.
